Stevens LC was founded by Paul Stevens in 2015 and is based in Downtown Los Angeles’s Arts District. Prior to founding Stevens LC, Paul’s experience included nearly two decades at three successful complex civil litigation law firms the last of which he served as Senior Partner for 10 years, was a founding member and supervising Partner of the firm’s Consumer Class Action Litigation Group and founded and supervised the firm’s Mass Tort Litigation Group.

During his professional career, Paul has been appointed lead class counsel in several state and federal class actions and has represented thousands of plaintiffs in over 1,000 complex actions, recovering over $900 million. Paul has also briefed and argued significant precedent setting class action issues at the California Court of Appeal and United States Supreme Court.

Paul has served as a member of the American Association for Justice, the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California and served as a panel member for the Los Angeles County Complex Court Symposium.

  • Prior to becoming an attorney, Paul was a Public Affairs Consultant with Cerrell Associates, Inc., where he worked in the areas of government affairs, public relations, transportation and infrastructure planning, political campaigns (local and national) and media relations. Paul’s work included direct advocacy activities with members of the United States Congress, California Legislature and various transportation, environmental and local government bodies. Stevens also did advance work for former Vice President Al Gore, Jr., and crisis and litigation communications programs for, among others, the PG&E hexavalent chromium litigation (Erin Brockovich).

    Paul is also a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, Los Angeles Chapter and the La Confrerie Saint-Etienne d’Alsace.

  • Paul attended Southwestern University School of Law’s SCALE program, the only ABA approved 2 year accelerated Juris Doctorate program in the nation and served as a law clerk for the Hon. Rupert Groh, Jr. (Ret.) at the United States District Court, Central District of California.
